The robot inside Mobile Positive

Recently I had the privilege of working on a little character design for Mobile Positive, and although I can’t reveal what he looks like from the front just yet, here he is in his lair/bedroom getting angry at websites that aren’t optimised for mobile.

Hello Mark

Hello Mark
I drew a picture of my co-worker Mark.
He didn’t look very happy when I showed it to him, but he is very happy in this drawing. He has new shoes!

Rath and He-Man

5 Minute Marvels is a pretty cool site that showcases superhero doodles made by grown-ups and kids in under five minutes. Me and my son Jonathan did this submission, Jonathan drew “Rath” from Ben 10, and I drew a scrawny He-Man!

It was a blast drawing together for a few hours. Jonathan wants to be an illustrator when he’s older, so I’m purposely teaching him terrible things so we’re not in competition with each other for jobs later on. Hey, it’s business ;)

Another doodle!

Everything is illuminated

Here’s a quick doodle of Elijah Wood from “Everything Is Illuminated“.
My girlfriend loves this movie but I can’t say I’ve ever seen the whole thing, only parts of it when it’s been on the talking picture box.

More doodles

Jonathan and I spend some time doing a few doodles this weekend, keeping them under 5-6 mins each. They’re for a little collaboration between the two of us, which I’ll post here when we’re ready.

Puzzle Planets!

For the last few months I’ve been part of an awesome little team working on an awesome little game for the iPhone/iPad called “Puzzle Planets”, and now it’s finally available to download!

Here’s the deal, there are 15 planet puzzles to complete, each with three unique stages…

Stage One: Move the tectonic plates around to piece together a planet.

Stage Two: Perform the correct gestures on cue to create volcanoes, mountains, and rifts.

Stage Three: Add life around the planet while preventing disasters.

The reward for completing each of the 15 planets is unlocking a strange alien creature. Each has three levels of evolution, the better your time, the better the creature.

My job was to invent and illustrate all of the creatures, and I had a hand in writing the snappy biographies for them too. I’ve only added the “official” screenshots of the game here, but hopefully soon I’ll post some more pictures showing more of my part in the project.
