It was my son’s birthday a couple of days ago, and me and @danellebunker made him an Angry Birds cake.
He’s 14 now, so I’m not sure how much longer he’s going to want us to do stuff like this. He’ll probably just want the cash next year.
Here all they are, presumably holding a candlelight vigil for their fallen comrades.
For my son’s birthday, my girlfriend and I made him a Companion Cube cake from Portal!
Danelle and I went into my work so I could use the computer and steal their internet, so before we left we made a giant robot out of boxes. It seemed like the mature thing to do at the time. I named him “Gavin” because I always name everything Gavin.
We took a photo with humans in it to show the scale of the robot. We are normal human size.
When Jeff came in to work the next day and found the robot, he gave him a tie. I like to think that Gavin is dressed up for a funeral.
For a while I have wanted to find a way to document the various pieces of graffiti around Dunedin. So I’ve started a little Flickr group as a way to showcase, and preserve them as much as possible. It’s such a shame when you drive past something you like and find that they have painted over it with a ugly grey square.
